Congratulations to Sheffield DA CCY member, Millie, winner of the 2026 Yorkshire Region Meet pennon design competition. Well deserved and the design looks great.
Paul & Nina, together with their four-legged companion Summer, were staying with Sheffield DA on our early summer holiday site at Darley Dale when they headed next door to Peak Rail's spectacular "Codename Espionage"1940s Weekend at Rowsley.
And what a weekend it was! Steam trains, military vehicles, wartime camps, live battle re-enactments, a thunderous Howitzer firing... and, if the rumours are true, they even managed to blow up a train! The event recreates the sights, sounds and spirit of wartime Britain with authentic re-enactors, entertainment and heritage trains.
Another brilliant May Bank Holiday at Osmaston, and Sheffield DA pulled it off in style. We welcomed 85 units from 17 different DAs and sections, and from the first awning peg to the last cup of tea on Monday, it felt like one big family weekend.
Another weekend, another brilliant Sheffield DA meet, this time back in lovely Parwich celebrating St George's Day with the Villagers and the Oddfellows.

What a way to kick off the year! Sheffield DA hit the ground running with our first meet of the season at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park, and it couldn’t have gone better.
Step beyond the footpaths and discover a park shaped by far more than leisure. This guided walk through Graves Parkfollows lanes worn by centuries of travel, medieval fish ponds still fed by flowing water, woodland ravines carved over thousands of years, and villages that once stood outside the city boundary. From local folklore and historic churches to rare breeds grazing former estate land, this walk reveals how landscape, history, and deliberate preservation come together in Sheffield’s largest park.

Site overlooks Carsington Water, a popular Derbyshire leisure destination offering a broad range of activities from adrenaline filled watersports, through to more sedate shopping, café and children’s play area.

I was elected from the floor to the role of Chairman of Sheffield DA back in the last millennium, 1999. It was a role that I have greatly enjoyed holding, and being part of this great and historic DA. But now after nearly 22 years, it’s the time for a new face to take on the role of Chairman and I wish Rob Lees all the best in taking on the baton on leading this great DA as your new chairman of Sheffield DA.
