A Spooktacular Farewell at Torksey!

What a fantastic way to round off our 2025 camping season!

Sheffield DA wrapped up the year in true style at Torksey, where members came together for a fun-filled weekend packed with Halloween celebrations, a blazing bonfire, and a brilliant fireworks display.

The field came alive with trick-or-treating adventures, spooky fancy dress costumes, and plenty of laughter as families and friends joined in the festivities. On Saturday evening, we gathered in the marquee for a hearty pie and pea supper followed by our final tea and coffee get-together of the year — the perfect chance to swap stories and reflect on another memorable season.

A special moment during the evening saw Charlie proudly presented with his camping blanket and certificate for passing his Junior Youth Test. Well done, Charlie — and well done to all our young campers who’ve made this season so special!

As the bonfire crackled and fireworks lit up the night sky, there was a real sense of community and pride in what Sheffield DA has achieved this year. From spring rallies to summer meets, every weekend has been made possible by our wonderful stewards and the supportive members who pitch in, join in, and make it all happen.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make 2025 such a brilliant year — especially our stewards, volunteers, and all those who supported our weekends and events. We couldn’t do it without you!

Now, as we pack away the tents and caravans for a well-earned winter break, we’re already looking ahead to next season’s calendar — full of exciting meets, rallies, and events for all ages.

If you’d like to steward one of our weekends, we’d love to hear from you! Your help makes a real difference, and it’s a great way to get more involved in your DA community.

Until then — have a safe and cosy winter, and we’ll see you all in the spring for another fantastic season of camping adventures!
