…and we’re off! Sheffield DA at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park

What a way to kick off the year! Sheffield DA hit the ground running with our first meet of the season at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park, and it couldn’t have gone better.

We had 40 units out – a brilliant turnout that filled the site with caravans, motorhomes and plenty of friendly faces. The weather played its part too; nice, sunny skies made everything feel extra special.

Saturday afternoon was all about catching up over tea and coffee. Everyone gathered for a relaxed get‑together, sharing stories from the winter and plans for the months ahead. It’s those simple moments that set the tone for a great season.

On Sunday we set off on a family walk to the Sherwood Forest Railway. The path wound through the trees and gave the kids (and the adults!) a chance to stretch their legs and enjoy the forest air. It’s always a highlight when the walk ends with the little train puffing by.

Our pitches were right next to the lake and the River Maun, and it was perfect for unwinding. We spent a good amount of time just sitting back, watching the ducks and geese drift by – a peaceful backdrop that made the whole weekend feel like a proper escape.

All in all, a fantastic start to the season for Sheffield DA. Here’s to more weekends like this!
