On Saturday 15th September, Sheffield DA are delighted to be supporting Macmillan's biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer, entitled The World's Biggest Coffee Morning, at our Thornhill Meet, near Bamford in Derbyshire.
This is an excellent cause and Macmillan are asking people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Morning events with donations on the day made to Macmillan. Sheffield DA's event is thanks to the dedication of Sylvia Amory who has hosted an event and baked such lovely cakes for the past three years.
Last year alone Macmillan raised over £27 million from these events so the thousands of coffee morning hosts like Sylvia and guests like you really do make a difference.
Sylvia will soon be hard at work busy baking in preparation for her event on 15th and helping Macmillan towards their 2018 total, so please hold the date and join Sylvia and Sheffield DA for this wonderful cause on Saturday 15th September.
The MacMillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning event official date is 28th September however Macmillan are delighted for organisers to choose whatever date is most convenient, so ours will be Saturday 15th. This actually gives you a bonus opportunity to attend a second event for yet more coffee and lovely cakes.
