Sheffield DA | Winter Update 2023

Plans are taking shape for Sheffield DA's 2023 programme so welcome to this early year update.

Reminder that the events commence on Sunday 22nd January with our Winter Walk, see details below.

The meets and holiday sites calendars are already posted on the Sheffield DA website and news is published regularly, so keep checking back. Online booking for holiday sites is now open via www.sheffieldda.co.uk/booking. We do not ask for advance payment nor a deposit, however booking is advisable to secure your pitch.

Please note and save the date for the AGM at Ashover on weekend of 14th - 16th April. Last year, Sheffield DA enjoyed a full committee and I'm sure we all extend thanks to the committee members for their hard work. For 2023, there are three committee positions becoming vacant including the important office of Sites Secretary, so if you wish to join the team please contact Rob Lees on 07719 477 519. Positions will be confirmed at the AGM.

Winter Walk 2023

Hardwick Hall | Sunday 22 January | 10.45am

Join us for a stroll around the beautiful parkland of Hardwick Hall as we enjoy wonderful views across Derbyshire. The Hardwick Estate, which surrounds the Hall, covers around 2,500 acres of stunning parkland, woodland, wetland and working farmland.

This walk takes in Lady Spencer's Wood, created for the mother-in-law of the 5th Duke of Devonshire, skirting back past the Old Hall and magnificent Elizabethan Hall, via the estate ponds.

Terrain is mainly woodland and open parkland so appropriate footwear is recommended. There is a bit of a hill on the return but no-one is racing!

Meet in the car park at 10.45. Note there is a £3.00 charge for car parking, which is free for National Trust or English Heritage members.

Access via M1 J29 and follow the brown signs. Sat Nav is S44 5RW. What3Words///match.worker.party
