About Parwich

Parwich is a small limestone village nestling in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park, situated about 7 miles north of Ashbourne.  Once named in the Sunday Times as one of the best places to live in Britain, the Village is undoubtedly pleasing to the eye, centering on the village green and pond (or Dam, as it is known locally) a wonderful place to spend a weekend.

Things to do...

The White Peak is rich and varied area providing a range of activities and attractions.  Parwich is close to both High Peak and Tissington trails, gentle former railway tracks providing safe off-road trails for cyclists and walkers. Numerous pubs are dotted around the area, most serving food throughout the day. Fifteen minutes away lies the market town of Ashbourne, with Buxton just 30 minutes drive up the A515.  Parwich itself is an attractive village, as is Tissington, which sits a couple of miles to the West.  The tourist hotspots of Ilam and Dovedale are also just a short drive away, making Parwich a great base to explore this beautiful area.
