Darley Dale

Attractive location in the Derwent Valley, Derbyshire Dales.

About

St. Helen's church at Darley Dale dates back to the 12th Century and hosts an ancient Yew tree, reputed to be over 2,000 years old. Whitworth Park is a hidden gem adjacent to the A6 and within strolling distance of the SDA THS.

Things to do...

Darley Dale is a superb base for exploring the Dewent Valley, from Matlock to Bakewell and beyond. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within fifteen minutes drive and the more adventurous might head for the remote villages of Winster, Birchover and beyond to Stanton Moor which not only displays Bronze Age stone circles, the most famous and preserved being the Nine Ladies, but also provides breathtaking views over the Derwent Valley.

Location

Darley Dale is located just off the A6 between Matlock and Rowsley.  Temporary Holiday site is at Four Lane Ends, see site listing for details.
