Hi All

Happy new year everyone! Just a quick update on upcoming Sheffield DA events and a reminder it is only 8 weeks to the start of our camping season.

Our Dinner Dance is being held this Saturday, times are 7:00pm for 7:30pm sit down. For those that will be attending a reminder that dress code is Smart.

Sheffield DA Winter Walk - Sunday 17th February – Hardwick Hall

This year we will be holding our winter walk in the grounds of Hardwick Hall. Meet in the National Trust car park at 10:45am to start walking at 11:00am. There is a car park fee of £5.00 for the day. (For National Trust and English Heritage members car parking is free). Please bring a pack up with you if required, although refreshments are available at the National Trust shop and restaurant. We expect the walk to take approx two hours, and advise to wear suitable clothing and footwear.

THS Darley Dale – date change: 5th July to 19th July

*Please be aware*. Due to this site double booking itself with another section (East Midlands BCC). we will have to close the site on Friday 19th July instead of Sunday 21st July as original publicised. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but unfortunately this is beyond our control. Click here for details.

Stewards required for THS

We require stewards for Hutton le Hole THS, for the first week, including the opening of the site, Friday 24th May to 31st May. Ideally you will need to be on site from Thursday 23rd.

We also require either a second steward for Criccieth 19th July to 4th August to share duties with Brian and Sylvia, or if two other couples would want to take on the being stewards for the full two weeks that would be ideal. Please let me know if you can help with either of these THS’s

Photo Competition – Ashford in the Water - 11th 13th October

Just an early notification of the categories for this years photo competition so you will have plenty of time to take those winning shots:

  • Camping - well there as to be that category

  • Orange - anything with the predominance of Orange

  • Bridges - as it says

  • Agriculture - you should be able to find a suitable photo through the year

  • Family - a picture that shows a family moment

  • Off the Wall - a photo that is unusual

Out and About Magazine

I am sure that most of you are aware of the changes to the Club magazine, which will take the Out and About section out of the main magazine, and supply it as a separate supplement to the magazine. The Out and About gives the full details of all the DA meets and THS information on a month by month basis. After the March issue (posted in February) this will only be available to the members who have opted to receive the supplement prior to to this issue. If you have not already done this can I recommend that you do opt in quickly, and to help, here is the link needed to opt in to the supplement, which will ensure you wont miss out on any future editions. Click here to opt-in (opens new window):

That's all for now hope to see you all soon

Iain
