This fascinating image was kindly sent to us by FC in North Ayreshire, Scotland (name withheld for confidentiality). FC was sorting out belongings from a late family member and came across the picture, so took the trouble to contact us via the SDA website, and sent us the photographs.
The late gentleman who owned the picture was a New Zealander called Ronald McIndoe who toured in his caravan and it seems enjoyed some time camping with Sheffield DA.
The banner is celebrating a Golden Anniversary (1906-1956) and refers to "Ma and Pa" so we think this is probably the golden wedding anniversary of our founding chairman, 'Pop' Snowden.

FC sent me the originals for the SDA archives, so we will display the originals at our Vintage and Classic Meet, 1st- 3rd July at Darley Dale. It would be great to find out more about Sheffield DA back in 1956.
