Longnor is a large village in the Staffordshire Peak District on the boundary of the Staffordshire Moorlands to the west and the White Peak area of the Peak District looking north east.  Surprisingly large for a remote village due to it's historic role as a market village, Longnor has a cobbled marketplace at it's centre.  Visitors flock to the stunning countryside surrounding this remote Village.

Things to do...

Lovers of the great outdoors will be in their element around Longnor, this is walking country and ideally situated for the Upper Dove and Manifold Valleys as they traverse the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border.  Chrome and Packhorse hills provide superb views of the surrounding countryside and are the subject for many landscape photographers.   Despite it's rural remoteness, Longnor is just 6 miles from the famous Roman spa town of Buxton.

Glutton Bridge, nr Longnor, is located about 6 miles south-east of Buxton close to the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border.
